Preamble :

The Compagnons d'Anthony ANP Forever association (hereinafter "the Association") is committed to the development of education in Cameroon and Africa. In this context, it is setting up a school sponsorship program to support brilliant but disadvantaged students. The sponsor (hereinafter "the Sponsor") wishes to contribute to this program by financially supporting one or more students.

The following was agreed and decided:

Article 1: object

The purpose of this contract is to define the terms of sponsorship by the Sponsor for the benefit of one or more students supported by the Association.

Article 2: Duration

The Sponsor undertakes to financially support a student for a period of five years, ranging from Form 3 to Upper Sixth in the anglophone system or 4e to Terminale in the francophone system.

Article 3: Sponsor’s Commitment

1. The Sponsor undertakes to pay annually an amount of 164,000 XAF per student (approximately 250 €).

2. Covered costs include:

·         Tuition

·         Examination fees

·         Class outfits and uniforms

·         School books and textbooks

·         Notebooks and school supplies (pens, pencils, rulers, etc.)

3. Payment must be made no later than June 25th preceding the start of the following school year for that school year.

Article 4: Payment Method and Banking Information

1. The Sponsor will make payments directly via the association’s website for the first year of sponsoring.

2. For the following years, the payment will be made either a. via the website as well or b. by bank transfer to the French account of the Association whose contact details are as follows:

·         Account holder: Companions of Anthony ANP Forever

·         Bank: LCL

·         IBAN: FR75 3000 2004 7100 0000 9070 U27

·         BIC: CRLYFRPP

Or c. Alternatively, the sponsor can make payments by transfer to the association's Orange Money Cameroon account: COMPAGNONS D'ANTHONY 690 90 56 50. Merchant Code: 83 80 69.

The Sponsor must include in the transfer reference the following information: Name of Sponsor, Year of Sponsoring (1,2,3,4,5) and Purpose of payment (e.g., “School sponsorship”).

Article 5: Commitment of the Association

1. The Association undertakes to provide regular updates on the sponsored student's progress, including an annual report detailing the student's academic performance and behaviour.

2. The Association will carry out quarterly follow-up with the student to monitor their progress and encourage them.

3. The Association will maintain the anonymity of the Sponsor, unless expressly requested by the latter to be put in contact with the student. The anonymity of the Sponsored student shall equally be guaranteed unless the Sponsor requests it to be lifted and the student agrees to it.

4. The Association undertakes to use the funds received exclusively within the framework of sponsorship, including the costs mentioned in article 3.

5. The Association undertakes to ensure the communication with the Sponsor, including annual meetings and exchanges via email or telephone.

Article 6: Student Performance Criteria

1. The sponsored student must maintain academic excellence.

2. The student must also have impeccable behaviour in class and at school in general, as well as honour all his contractual commitments with the association; for instance, his commitment to community service.

3. Any significant improvement in the financial situation of the student's family must be immediately reported to the Association so that the scholarship can be reallocated to another child in need.

Article 7: Confidentiality

The parties agree that information relating to the identity of the sponsored student and the Sponsor will only be shared with the written consent, including by email, of each party.

Article 8: Termination of the Contract

1. The contract may be terminated by the Association if the student no longer meets the sponsorship criteria, namely financial difficulties, academic excellence and exemplary discipline. In this case, another student could be associated to the sponsor with his approval.

2. The Sponsor may decide to terminate the contract unilaterally by informing the Association in writing no later than June, before the start of the following school year. However, the Sponsor is bound by an obligation of means to respect its commitments until the end of the contract - 5 years - in order not to compromise the student's education.

3. In the event of termination by the Sponsor without valid reason, the Association will make every effort to find a new sponsor for the student. In the event of failure, the Association will be forced to terminate the student's financial support.

Article 9: Number of Sponsorships

The Sponsor can support as many students as (s)he wishes and is able to finance.

Article 10: Exemption from liability clause

The Association cannot be held responsible in the event of non-fulfilment of the commitments of the Sponsored student or the Sponsor or in the event of force majeure making it impossible to continue the sponsorship.

Article 11: Modification of the Contract

Any modification of this contract must be the subject of a message sent via email to the sponsor who has 30 calendar days to inform the association if (s)he subsequently wish to terminate the agreement. If we do not receive any communication within that timeframe, the Association will consider that the sponsor has approved the changes and the agreement shall remain in place.
